About Us

Crossroads Fellowship is an urban church with an emphasis on ministering to the individuals and families around downtown Albuquerque. We believe and strive to live God’s message of Grace by helping people in their needs.

We have named our church Crossroads Fellowship for a specific reason. Albuquerque is filled with people at the crossroads of their lives. When stress, disappointment and life’s challenges drive us to this junction, God gives us an answer: His Grace. His Peace.

Regardless of where you’re at on your spiritual journey, we invite you to learn more by joining us at Crossroads Fellowship, a Presbyterian Church of America community church.

Our HIstory

The Decision to Go

In many respects the history of Crossroads can go back to around the year 2000.  Mike McLaughlin and his wife began to have a heart to start a new church somewhere out west.  Ever since Mike had first visited the mountains he knew that he had found a place that he could one day call home.  As they started to search for a city that was in need of more churches, that is in the west, and preferably a college town they came in contact with the Southwest Church Planting Network which presented the idea of planting a church in Albuquerque, NM.  After completing an apprenticeship in McKinney, TX, the McLaughlins packed up and headed to Albuquerque to begin the work of planting Crossroads Fellowship in September 2003.

The Early Days

To begin with there was a small group of individuals that were interested in being a part of a church plant.  Some were individuals that we had met before and some were quite new to us.

The plan to bring it all together was known as the Roadmap to Sunday Morning Worship.  I know that it’s not very inspiring, but it worked for us.

First Worship

Our first public worship services started the evening of July 18, 2004. September 12, 2004 was our first official morning service.
